Madeleine Blake

Prior to establishing my own business in 2015, I worked at Tourism Victoria (now Visit Victoria) on-and-off over a 12 year period, holding positions in the PR, Regional Marketing and Government Communications teams.

In between working at Tourism Victoria, I spent 5+ years backpacking around the world. During that time I worked for the media team at Tourism Whistler in Canada, helping to promote Whistler in the lead up to and during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Whilst in the UK, I worked in the communications team at the Sea Fish Industry Authority, helping to promote sustainable seafood consumption.

As a PR consultant I have managed the PR accounts for various tourism bodies and attractions including Visit Geelong & The Bellarine, Visit Werribee & Surrounds, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Fiji and Port Phillip Ferries. I have also looked after the PR for events, such as the Archibald Prize 2021 at the Gippsland Art Gallery and for the Woodend Winter Arts Festival.

In addition to running MBPR, I work part time for Daylesford Macedon Tourism as their PR & Content Manager. One of the key responsibilities of this role is editing Daylesford Macedon Life magazine - a biannual publication that is inserted in both The Weekend Australian and The Sunday Age.
